When I moved to Japan from Texas, I was 19 years old. At that time I did not know what I would do in the future or what my goals in life were. My grandparents and parents tried to help me figure out my goals as well.  

 

Every Sunday, I decided to help my grandparents clean their property because they weren’t in very good physical condition. I helped them with cutting tree branches, raking fallen leaves, vacuuming the house, wiping the floors, and wiping windows. I also grew grapes, oranges, and plums to feed my family.

When I think about why I started this cleaning business, I think about what I was learning from my grandparents and I realize the time I spent with my grandparents led me to my goals and future. I really appreciate my grandparents and the time they put in for me when I was younger.

My grandfather is in heaven now and I think he is happy that our time together led me to start this cleaning business so I could help others have clean surroundings.
